WHY GENERAL AND FULL CHECK-UP IS PREFERRED IN TURKEY?
What is a hospital check-up? A check-up is a personal health screening and test in Turkey in general sense. You don’t need to have any health problems. Because the purpose of the check up is to diagnose or prevent diseases at an early stage without symptoms. A check up is not only an examination consisting of tests and examinations, it also reveals the general condition of the body. Thus, risk factors are prevented. The content of the check up program may vary depending on age, gender, genetic characteristics, lifestyle and past health history.
.
Turkey Medicals Co-ordinator, “There is no age limit for the min health check ups. However, it is recommended that individuals with chronic conditions such as diabetes or who are overweight should have regular check ups after the age of 40.” was said:
.
.
WHAT TO PAY ATTENTION TO WHEN COMING TO HOSPITAL CHECK-UPS?
- Bring the results of previous tests and other examinations with you.
- You need to be hungry for 12 hours before you come to the check up.
- For tests that will require physical activity, give preference to comfortable clothes and shoes.
- For women, the menstruation (menstrual) period is not suitable for a check-up.
- You should not use any vitamin, iron, mineral supplements.
- Do not consume alcohol three days in advance.
- If you have a sore throat, have a fever, or are taking antibiotics, postpone your check up appointment.
- Note that check-up starts 0900-1200 and 1300-1500 is completed.
.
.
HOW IS A HEALTH CHECK BEST PERFORMED?
A health check is a regular procedure that should be performed to assess your health and identify potential health problems. This check is performed in order to evaluate your general health condition and provide early diagnosis and treatment opportunities. So, how is a health check performed? Here are the step-by-step health check procedures:
1- Make an Appointment
The first step is to contact the health center or your doctor to make a health check appointment. It is important to find out what types of tests will be performed when making an appointment and exactly what the health check-up will include.
2- General Health Examination
A general health examination is performed at the beginning of the health check. Your doctor checks your basic health indicators such as height, weight, blood pressure, pulse and asks about your health history. This information is important to get an idea of your overall health status.
3- Laboratory Tests
After the general health examination, laboratory tests are performed. Blood tests, urine tests and other special tests can be performed if necessary. These tests are used to check your blood values, liver and kidney function, cholesterol levels, blood sugar levels and other important indicators.
4- Imaging Tests
Some health check programs may include imaging tests such as x-rays, ultrasound, or tomography. These tests help to conduct a detailed examination of your internal organs or tissues.
5- Evaluation of the Results
The results of the health check are evaluated and interpreted by your doctor. If there are any concerns about your health or there is a condition that requires treatment, your doctor will recommend the appropriate treatment methods and follow-up process to you.
